Our Programs

Drita Haziraj is the founder of Our Reality. Drita first started charity work in 2004 from Sarajevo, her home town in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH), as a volunteer for a German-based charity.  Drita has been a well-known journalist in BIH since 1996 and began to use her media credentials for charity projects.  She used her vast journalism experience to help people in need. She has also been the host of the television show Our Reality which aired for a full 15 years in BIH.  Drita moved to the United States in 2013, primarily to create a better life for her and her two sons. Priory she traveled all over USA doing projects with bosnian community and in 2008. registered Our Reality as US organization with Section 501C non-profit tax examination status. 

 Producing our television show for over 15 years, with touching documentaries about Bosnian people in need and also those who are ready to help and share their resources, Our Reality has helped 2,700 families in need, built or remodeled 25 houses, provided scholarships for 70 needy children, and helped find employment for over 30 individuals.  

Our goal is to document stories about needy people and inform those who are willing and able to help about their difficulties and struggles. Our Reality is that bridge between the two realities of 1) those people who need assistance and 2) those willing to help but not sure where to go or how to give. When we know and understand the needs of the extremely poor, we will all find the way to help. Our Reality is here to provide that way to make lives better.
